Ceiba pentandra

Also known as Kapok or Silk Cotton Tree, and locally known as “Atgidon”, our Ceiba pentandra is the spineless type growing up to 100+ ft. in height with trunks measuring 9 ft. in diameter. Greenish colored tree trunk and branches similar to the Malabar Chestnut Tree.

Ceiba pentandra is deciduous and an excellent landscaping specimen; great for bonsai as well.

The seed pods in our Ceiba pentandra Tree have ripened and are drying up producing lots of fresh seeds and silk cotton. Photos show the Ceiba Tree in the vegetative, flowering and seed pod producing stages.

Seeds packed fresh on date of purchase with planting instructions included. Planting information assistance is gladly provided on request.
