Annona cherimoya
Native to the Andean valleys and naturalized worldwide, the Cherimoya Tree or shrub is dense and low branching, and grows up to 5 – 9m in height. A subtropical to mild temperate tree that tolerates light frosts; grows best in high cool altitudes.
Fast and easy to grow. Plant seed 1″ inch deep in porous well drained soil in 1/2 gallon pot or bag; seed germinates in 20 – 30 days. Transplant seedling into ground or large pot (10 gallons+) when reaching 1′ – 2′ ft. in height. Fertilize regularly and provide adequate water. Fruit bearing attainable in 3 – 5 years.
